August Release Blog Hop Day 2

Hi there!! I love new releases! Don't you? I love seeing all the new goodies all lined up and I love all the inspiration the Design Team shares with us! If you're just joining us today and you missed our Day 1 post, please CLICK HERE.

I'm back for Day 2 of our August Release Blog Hop! YAY!!! We have so many new dies and stamps in store for you and I'm sure you're anxious to get another look at everything. Here are the newbie goodies:

Eat Cake Dies and Stamps work together to make adorable cakes stamped with birthday and party sentiments. Can be separately for even more versatility.

Encouraging Words Dies and Stamps are lovely and hand illustrated and are meant to inspire and send a positive message to your handmade card recipients. This set is certainly wonderful for Bible Journaling as well!

Our Ever Word Die is simply a MUST HAVE! We've also created a fabulous coordinating Ever Stamps stamp set that can be used to create the perfect, complementary phrases.

This new Fringe Scalloped Tag Dies Set features our Fringe Scalloped detail, exclusive to Lil' Inker Designs and all I can say is it's about time!!

Hello Dino Stamps and Dies are honestly excellent and no coloring needed! You will love mixing and matching your favorite ink colors to achieve the most adorable dinos. Of course we've included some pretty rad sentiments for all kinds of occasions as well as plenty of objects to create a desert scene.

Ok, this new die set is really pretty cool! We're calling this our Deco Edge Border Dies. They were designed specifically to create a torn-edge effect on your card fronts and paper crafted projects when used together. Use the dies individually with two different tones of card stock and then layer together to achieve the look of a torn edge. Even cooler is that these dies are pretty versatile! If you use them individually they could be used on your projects to create mountains in the distance or a hill in your background or could just be used along the bottom edge of a project to add additional visual interest. You're going to LOVE experimenting with this unique die set!

The newest die in our Cover Up Die collection is this one we're calling Cover Up Die: Hello Beautiful! We named is so because it happens to coordinate with details in a popular, previously released stamp and die set with the same name (pictured below for your viewing pleasure).

This new Modern Mandala stamp set makes me so happy because there are so many things you can do with these gorgeous mandala images! I enlarged our graphic here so that you could get a good look at how intricate and pretty they are. They are detailed enough to stand alone on their own in just inks of different colors or heat embossed. They just open enough for coloring with markers or watercoloring as well. They scream foil technique to me so I actually went and got the supplies to foil these images - more on that later this week! Originally this set started off with a different vision. I had these cut in half with a space inside to stamp the sentiments and then, with a little help, I decided to make them into solid pieces and just have a label die to over their centers. It was a great decision because now the set is entirely versatile and may not have been as so if I had gone with the original plan.

We also have a coordinating Modern Mandala Die Set that will cut out all of the pretty images in this set but also include a special label die. All of the sentiments in the set will stamp to fit on that label die and it fits perfectly over the mandalas and even hangs over the edge a bit for just the right look. I think you're going to love love love this set and all the things that it can do and just look at all the different occasions you can use this for as well! I love the simplicity of the sentiments!

Is it time for projects??

Up first I have a card for you using our new Encouraging Words Stamps, Encouraging Words Dies and the new and cool Deco Edge Border Dies.

Here I started by making an A2 card base from raspberry stock. I then used one die from the Deco Edge Border Dies and cut away a part of the panel on the diagonal. Using a lighter, coordinating color of stock I made another cut using the other die in the set and then layered these papers together. See how it adds the look as though your edge has been torn? I think this is so COOL!!
I stamped by raspberry card front with this sentiment from the Encouraging Words Stamps repeatedly to create a sentiment background and then I got to playing with the florals. I colored them with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then cut them out with the coordinating Encouraging Words Dies. These images were so fun an easy to color and even easier to cut out with the coordinating dies! I love how this card turned out!

Next up, I got to playing with my Hello Dino Stamps and Dies and oh my goodness these are SOOOOOOO FUN!!!! I love love love that ended up making these guys into multi-step stamps. Being able to mix and match the bodies with coordinating colors is such a treat and really adds an element of fun to this set.
Once I made my scene, complete with a desert background achieved with my Deco Edge Border Dies, I added everything on top of a kraft panel cut with the new Cover Up Die: Hello Beautiful which I am also loving. I think there is a certain, masculine feel to this die which lends itself to the dinos on my card.

My son's friend just had a birthday so I plan to give him this card with his gift. So, I paired the "Raaa!" sentiment in the set with the happy birthday greeting. Super duper cute and oh so fun to play with. I love that these stamps don't need to be colored. I love to color but honestly sometimes it's just fun to stamp!

Last but not least, I used a Hello Dino left over from the above project to make a tag for a shower gift for my brother and his wife. Did I tell you that I'm going to be an AUNTIE?????!!!!!!! I am Ssosososososososososos excited! My nephew will be born at the end of September and I literally can't wait!
I wanted to show you how sweetly these dinos can also work for baby cards and tags. Seen here as well is our Fringe Scalloped Tags Dies and of course I raised up the fringe because it's my favorite effect! It really screams "baby" don't you think? The baby word stamp is from our Stork Stuff Stamps (previously released) and it totally worked here. I love how simple this is but how sweet it is all at the same time. Funny how I didn't even realize until I was looking for photo props that one of the baby outfits I got has a dino on the chest and dino feet! PERFECT!!!!

Would you be interested in winning everything from this new release? Well, of course you would!! HA!!
